We Are Committed To Our Community

The AUCNA became an official neighborhood association under the City of Atlanta’s Neighborhood Planning Unit system in September of 2009. It consists of the four Atlanta University Center schools and colleges (Spelman College, Morehouse College, Clark Atlanta University, and Morehouse School of Medicine), the campuses of Morris Brown College and Interdenominational Theological Center (ITC), residents, businesses, and faith-based organizations in the area.

Together, we have provided leadership capacity building to neighborhood businesses and organizations, by building a neighborhood association that serves as the focal point of community engagement. Providing this outlet for the community gives residents networking opportunities, access to information and resources, personal recognition, skill enhancement, and a sense of contribution and helpfulness in solving community problems. The association has served as a platform for sharing information and other impactful pieces of information which, in turn has empowered neighborhood business owners to not only be more financially competent but also how to maintain and grow their businesses, and how to increase engagement in the community.

In conclusion, the AUCNA advocates a true spirit of community and extends a warm invitation to you to join us in this opportunity to help create a safer, cleaner and more attractive environment in which we can all be proud to live.

Meet the Team

A good leadership team is essential for the success of an organization. A strong team of leaders can provide direction, guidance, and support to the organization, helping it to achieve its goals and objectives. They help create a clear vision, mission, and values for the organization and ensure that everyone is working towards the same goals. A good leadership team also creates a positive and productive work culture where employees feel valued and motivated to contribute their best.
